Adult Education Opportunities - September 12, 2010 through May 22, 2011

Chapel Forum for Adults meets each  Sunday in the Chapel.  The group uses bible-based short unit topics, etc. to explore our bible heritage as well as its meaning for us in today’s faith community and society.

Amistad Sessions for Adults meets each week in the Amistad Room.  The group uses short-unit studies, video-assisted series, and guest speakers to explore topics of contemporary theology, spirituality, and community concern.

YAYAs, our Youth and Young Adults Class, meets every Sunday morning .  We gather for breakfast (prepared by parents), catch up with one another, share thoughts and concerns, and perhaps learn something along the way.  The group is encouraged to attend the 10:00 a.m. worship together following the gathering.

Small Group Studies meet for short units both before and after dinner on Wednesdays. These groups vary in topic from parenting to peace; from seasonal to spiritual; and from practical to personal.  Led by staff and/or lay leaders, these units provide the opportunity for in-depth study of specific  subjects of interest to many folks.

Pastor’s Bible Study with Rev. John P. Gardner meets every Wednesday from 5:15 to 6:00 pm to examine the lectionary scripture passages for each week.

Women’s Book Study Group meets at the church on every other Tuesday.  The group chooses books on topics of progressive theology and cultural concern, along with those of special interest to the participants.
