Plymouth Music Series 2012-13
Season Concerts that Enrich and Inspire

September through May

Each year, the Plymouth Music Series adopts an annual theme; this year’s focus is on helping the community. Every concert is free and open to the public, with proceeds beyond expenses being donated to support a particular mission or charity. Programs are entertaining and enriching for all ages, last about 75 minutes and are followed by a nice reception in the Folsom Room adjacent to the Sanctuary.

September 30, 2012 - 2:00 p.m.
Joseph Beutel, baritone / Robert Nance, piano

Acclaimed vocalist and Fort Wayne native, Mr. Beutel will perform a varied program featuring highlights from opera, musical theater, art songs and more.

November 18, 2012 - 2:00 p.m.
A Children's Concert with Mr. Puppet & the Singers of Heartland

Children scream for Mr. Puppet as he and his zany friends walk them through a concert program of children’s songs featuring northeast Indiana’s professional vocal ensemble, Heartland. Children of all ages will delight in meeting Mr. Puppet and hearing great music. Come early for the best seats!

A Festival of Hymns
Choirs, Organ, Brass and Handbells

Sponsored by Plymouth Congregational Church Peace and Justice Committee Your favorite hymns, songs and spirituals are the fare on this festive menu of faith-centered music featuring choirs, organ, brass and handbells. Come add your voice to this festive experience.

A Tribute to Songwriters from Tin Pan Alley to Broadway
Steven Haas, tenor
Robert Nance and Alexander Klepach, duo pianos

Concert made possible in part through a special collaboration between Plymouth Congregational Church & Congregation Achduth Vesholom Internationally acclaimed tenor Steven Haas joins forces with Fort Wayne pianists Alexander Klepach and Robert Nance to perform a special tribute to the composers from Tin Pan Alley to Broadway. Come hear the music of Berlin, Kern, Von Tilzer, Harris, Gershwin, Rodgers, Hart, Hammerstein, Sondheim, Hamlish, Herman and more.

Music Series Concerts are free and open to the public.

Following each concert all are welcome to attend a reception in honor of the performing artists.
