WHAT IS TRUTH? SEMINAR 2.0

Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5 at Plymouth Congregational Church

With featured presenters Valerie Tutson, David Bobay, Sydney Fabregas, and Thee Combo

The seminar “What Is Truth?” came out of conversations starting in 2019 concerning the increasing rise of misinformation, disinformation, and alternative facts, and inability of so many in our society to agree to a set of common facts. How to respond amidst that reality was one motivating concern. As the seminar evolved, our questions on truth expanded to three related questions, hoping to approach it from different perspectives:

How do we discern truth in a world of disinformation and alternative facts?
How can we name our truth when we are gaslit or our experience is dismissed?
How might we stand up for truth when people deny the reality of injustice?

To wrestle with these questions, we started the “What is Truth? Seminar” in May of 2023.  This year’s seminar expands on our work from last year with an interactive experience for participants, featuring various tools to discern answers to our questions such as the art of song and storytelling, and interactive activities with contemplative reflection.  We hope that this seminar will provide both insight and understanding in your quest for the truth.

This event is free, but registration is highly encouraged. Register below.
